Biffy Clyro came through the JBTV studio and played a small stripped down set.

The Scottish rockers played “Opposite” off their 2013 album Opposites.  With an acoustic guitar, a bass, and some light percussion, the downbeat melancholy song resonated with the crowd, as they focused on the vocal styling of lead singer Simon Neil.

Biffy Clyro formed in Kilmarnrock, Scotland in 1995 and are very well known in the U.K. with multiple albums reaching the number 2 and 3 spots on the U.K. charts. They have put out six studio albums and have toured the the world many times over.

Check out the lyrics to “Opposite” below:

You are the loneliest person that I’ve ever known
We are joined at the surface but nowhere else
I look in the glass and stare at your, strained,
Grey, motionless face and ask
Underneath, is there a golden soul?

Take care of the ones that you love
Take care of the ones that you love

Baby, I’m leaving here
You need to be with somebody else
I can’t stop bleeding here
Can you suture my wounds?

Everyone is beginning to breathe as I break down
You are in love with a shadow that won’t come back
Sooner or later we all have to wait,
Try forgetting everything
Underneath, there’s a perfect sky

Baby, I’m leaving here
You need to be with somebody else
I can’t stop bleeding here
Can you suture my wounds and feelings?

Baby, I’m leaving here
You need to be with somebody else
I can’t stop bleeding here
Can you suture my wounds and feelings?

Baby, I’m leaving here
You need to be with somebody else
I can’t stop bleeding here
Can you suture my wounds and feelings?

Baby, I’m leaving here
You need to be with somebody else
I can’t stop bleeding here
Can you suture my wounds
