Local band The Pipe Dreams came by the JBTV studios and supplied the audience with some much needed good vibrations. The band played “Hush” which features rhythmic synths, light and catchy vocals and groovy feel good guitar playing. The band’s sound is reminiscent of the Woodstock era mixed with some surf rock and a tad of current indie. “Hush” is off their self released debut album “The Pipe Dreams Take Chicago.” The band formed in 2007 and consists of two sets of brothers, Zach and Derek Simon and Cody and Jonah Shear whose mission is to “supply the city of Chicago with the quality rock and roll she deserves.” Pipe Dreams will undoubtedly supply the city of Chicago but let’s hope they supply the world in the process.
